Sweepstakes Timing
Each monthly entry period begins at 12:00 AM PT on the first day of a calendar month and ends at 11:59 PM PT on the last day of that calendar month (each, a "Monthly Entry Period," and collectively, the "Sweepstakes Period"). Sponsor may modify, suspend, or terminate the Sweepstakes, or any individual Monthly Entry Period, at any time without notice.
Eligibility
Open only to legal residents of the United Kingdom who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Monos Travel Ltd. ("Sponsor"), the administrator of the Sweepstakes, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies (collectively, the "Promotion Entities") and the immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible. All federal, provincial, territorial, and local laws and regulations apply. Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes agreement by entrant to these Official Rules.
Here's How It Works
To be entered into the Sweepstakes, visit monos.com and follow the on-screen directions to subscribe to both Monos email marketing and Monos SMS/text marketing (each, an "Entry"). Entrants need only sign up once: a single completed sign-up to both email and SMS automatically enters the entrant into each subsequent Monthly Entry Period for as long as the entrant remains subscribed to both. If an entrant unsubscribes from either Monos email or Monos SMS marketing communications, that entrant will no longer be entered into any Monthly Entry Period drawing beginning after the date of unsubscribe. Limit one (1) Entry per person. A person may not use multiple email addresses or phone numbers to obtain additional Entries; if Sponsor suspects an entrant has attempted to do so, all Entries associated with that entrant will be declared null and void.
Random Drawing
One (1) winner will be randomly selected each month, on or about the 5th day of the calendar month following the close of the applicable Monthly Entry Period, from among all eligible Entries active as of the close of that Monthly Entry Period, whose decisions are final and binding in all respects relating to the drawing. Odds of winning will depend on the number of eligible Entries active during the applicable Monthly Entry Period. Before being declared a winner, the randomly selected entrant must first correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by email, SMS, or phone.
Verification
Potential prize winner will be notified by email and/or SMS within two (2) weeks of the close of the applicable Monthly Entry Period. Selected entrant must respond within forty-eight (48) hours. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for undeliverable email or SMS resulting from any form of active or passive filtering by email or wireless service providers or for insufficient space in user's account to receive email. Return of any email, SMS, or prize as undeliverable, inability to reach selected entrant, failure of selected entrant to respond to notification within forty-eight (48) hours of first attempt by Sponsor, failure to provide proof of eligibility (if requested), failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question, or other non-compliance with these Official Rules will result in disqualification and an alternate will be selected from that Monthly Entry Period's eligible Entries.
Prizes
There is one (1) Prize available to be won for each Monthly Entry Period, consisting of one (1) Monos Aluminum Carry-On (Approximate Retail Value: $885 CAD; colour subject to availability) (the "Prize"). Sponsor makes no representations or warranties with respect to any Prize. No more than one (1) Prize per Monthly Entry Period shall be awarded.
Prize Conditions
All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of Prize winner. By accepting the Prize, winner agrees to release and hold the Promotion Entities harmless from and against any and all claims and liability arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes, the receipt, acceptance, possession, use/misuse of the Prize, including without limitation any claims for personal injury (including death), property damage, or violation of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity and/or other proprietary rights. Winners assume all liability for any injury or damage caused or claimed to be caused by participation in the Sweepstakes or use of Prize. UNLESS OTHERWISE PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CLAIMS MAY NOT BE RESOLVED THROUGH ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION. Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes, or in the announcement of any Prize. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any Sweepstakes materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
General Rules
Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, damaged, illegible or misdirected mail/e-mail/SMS or for any technical problems, malfunctions of any telephone lines, computer systems, servers, providers, hardware/software, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed transmission or any combination thereof. Sponsor is not responsible for any damage to any participant's computer system/software related to or resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAW. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Any suspected use of robotic, automatic, programmed, or the like methods of participation will void all such Entries by such methods. The Sweepstakes may be modified, suspended, or terminated at any time if infected by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause outside the control of Sponsor which impairs or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with any entry process or who harasses any other entrant or any Sponsor representative. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision.
Data Collection/Privacy Policy
By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree and consent to Sponsor's collection, usage and disclosure of their personal information for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes and prize fulfillment, and for Sponsor's marketing research and marketing communications purposes. By subscribing via SMS/text message, entrants consent to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from Monos at the phone number provided; consent is not a condition of any purchase, message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from SMS, or HELP for help. Unsubscribing from SMS and/or email marketing will end an entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes as described in "Here's How It Works" above. All information submitted to Sponsor as part of this Sweepstakes will be treated in accordance with Sponsor's privacy policy, available at monos.com/pages/privacy-policy. The Sweepstakes website may be hosted on servers in the United States, and the personal information you provide may therefore also be subject to the laws of the United States. Where required by law, Sponsor will provide you with the ability to opt out of Sponsor's use of such information for marketing purposes.
